Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Nanaimo, BC is seeking a Gun Counter Outfitter (part-time) who can safely handle firearms and help customers choose gear.

You will greet customers, assess needs, provide product recommendations, and maintain in-store presentation. A license to possess firearms is required; high school diploma preferred and prior sales experience valued.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a sales or service environment are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions and identifying needs.
• Know firearms, scopes, and hunting concepts to make informed recommendations.
• Maintain in-store presentation, signage, and restock merchandise as needed.
• Handle customer issues with sound judgement and problem-solving within the scope of the role.
• Support other store areas when business needs dictate.

## Gun Counter Outfitter - PTApply: Nanaimo, BC: Part time: Posted Yesterday: End Date: October 17, 2026 (24 days left to apply): R268098**Summary:**Reporting to the Hardlines Group Sales Manager, a Gun Counter Outfitter requires the ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to provincial, federal and company firearm regulations.
