Job Title: Guest Service Agent

Minimum Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work Setting

• Hotel, motel, resort

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Register arriving guests and assign rooms
2. Process group arrivals and departures
3. Take, cancel, and change room reservations
4. Provide information on hotel facilities and services
5. Provide general information about points of interest in the area
6. Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
7. Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
8. Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
9. Follow emergency and safety procedures
10. Perform clerical duties (e.g., faxing, filing, photocopying)
11. Answer telephone calls and relay messages
12. Assist clients/guests with special needs
13. Contact customers to deliver wakeup calls
14. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
15. Provide excellent customer service
