Job summary

The Crescent Hotels Group is seeking a Guest Room Attendant for the 2026-2027 winter season at The Josie Hotel Rossland in Rossland, BC. This seasonal full-time role starts December 1, 2026 and offers a competitive hourly wage and a strong benefits package.

You will join our housekeeping team, maintaining high cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public spaces, while supporting a vibrant mountain resort community and guest experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floors using appropriate cleaning tools.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and safety instructions for cleaning agents and PPE.
• Strip and make beds, change bed linens, and handle heavy items up to 50 lbs when needed.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, ledges, and shelves.
• Operate vacuum and empty trash throughout the room.
• Ensure all electronics and plumbing fixtures operate properly.
• Perform daily room refreshment as instructed.
• Assist with inventory counts and controls.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; restock carts and linen areas.
• Follow department safety standards and use wet floor signs as required.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
• Sign for and manage room keys; inspect rooms for cleanliness.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Assist in housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
• Report damages to leadership and maintenance.
• Assist co-workers to complete tasks.
• Support front and back of house duties in public areas and events.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As a Room Attendant, you will be working as part of our Housekeeping team, processing both departures and stay-overs, cleaning guest rooms and public spaces to our highest standards of cleanliness to ensure our guest experience!

Who We’re Looking For:

Job Description:

You have a keen eye for detail, and respect the importance that impeccably clean guest rooms have on the guest experience. You communicate well with guests and colleagues, and always willing to “pitch-in” and help, lead by example, and are a team player. You bring general knowledge of basic cleaning principles and can follow our policies and standards related to cleaning requirements/controls, applications of chemicals, health and safety, guest security and hotel property.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• 1. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
• 2. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents and wearing of PPE.
• 3. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
• 4. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• 5. Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
• 6. Ensure all electronic equipment, plumbing fixtures operate.
• 7. As assigned compete daily room refreshment as per guidelines.
• 8. Assist with inventory counts and controls.
• 9. Maintain work areas clean and organized which includes restocking of carts and floor linen areas.
• 10. Adhere to departmental standards on a safe work environment. Working alone, use of wet floors signs in public and BOH areas. Needle disposal units, biohazard wash bags used if required.
• 11. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
• 12. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• 13. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• 14. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned in the housekeeping dept & laundry.
• 15. Report any damage / deficiencies to housekeeping leadership, maintenance departments.
• 16. Handle lost and found in accordance with polices implemented at the property.
• 17. Assist co workers to complete tasks as required.
• 18. Assist in houseperson back of house and front of house duties (public areas, restaurant and event space as assigned.
• 19. Other job-related tasks, as assigned
