Qualifications

• No education or experience required; training provided.
• Ability to follow instruction.
• Good communication skills are an asset.
• WHMIS is an asset.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, professionally.
• Professional appearance and manners.
• FT and PT positions available.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms to Sandman standards.
• Know chemicals and proper handling.
• Respond to guest and staff inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Record and return lost property to supervisor.
• Report hazards to supervisor to minimize risk.
• Operate and secure equipment properly.
• Report suspicious persons or activities to management.
• Report maintenance issues including burned-out bulbs.
• Check under bed, drawers and closet for items.
• Clean sinks and replenish amenities.
• Clean coffee pots and ensure they are plugged in.
• Arrange furniture following guest use.
• Ensure privacy and security of guest rooms.
• Perform laundry duties: collect, sort, transport.
• Sort and fold laundry; restock linen.
• Do small mending repairs.
• Perform Houseperson duties if required.
