Job summary

RED Mountain Resort BC is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces, washrooms, and staff areas. You will support guest and employee experiences by meeting RED’s cleanliness standards and presenting the resort professionally.

You'll work independently across the resort, follow schedules, handle routine cleaning, inspections, and safety practices, and assist with events or seasonal needs.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, or facility maintenance experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Dependable with limited supervision.
• Identify problems and take action without direct guidance.
• Effective verbal communication and guest interaction.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and safe chemical handling is an asset; training will be provided as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize public and staff washrooms and high-touch surfaces.
• Monitor washrooms and replenish supplies throughout the day.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in public areas.
• Report maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with parking lot and snow removal as needed.
