Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Kamloops seeks a Host/Hostess passionate about customer service to welcome guests from entry to departure while delivering a premium experience.

The role involves managing reservations, seating guests, assisting servers, and maintaining a lively guest-focused atmosphere. It offers flexible hours, growth opportunities across Gateway's 27 locations, and a strong benefits package for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Host/hostess experience in hospitality/food service preferred.
• Cash handling experience using a POS system or cashier register.
• Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment or event training preferred.
• Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta)/ Smart Serve (Ontario).
• World Host / Super Host certificate or other customer service programs preferred.
• Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in dining, retail, or promotions.
• Effective public speaking skills and presence.
• Ability to pull, lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds, including a fully loaded serving tray.
• Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
