Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a part-time Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage reservations, and support servers with expediting and service on the floor.

You bring guest-focused hospitality experience, cash handling skills, and a positive, energetic presence. This role offers flexible hours, evenings and weekends, plus a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff; opportunities for advancement across our 27 locations.

Qualifications

• Host/hostess experience in hospitality/food service preferred.
• Cash handling experience using POS system.
• Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment or event training experience preferred.
• Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta)/ Smart Serve (Ontario) certificates.
• World Host certificate or other customer service programs preferred.
• Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in dining, retail, or promotions environment.
• Effective public speaking skills and presence.
• Ability to pull, lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds, specifically a fully loaded serving tray.
• Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.

• Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment or event training experience preferred.
• Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta) certificate/ Smart Serve (Ontario).
• World Host / Super Host certificate or other similar customer service programs preferred.
• Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in a dining, retail, or promotions environment.
