Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences seeks a Guest Attendant to support residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities. You will assist with laundry, meals, and light housekeeping while upholding health and safety protocols in a warm, home-like environment.

The role emphasizes empathy, patience, and reliable communication with residents, families, and care teams. A focus on safety, hygiene, and timely response to concerns ensures residents live comfortably and with dignity.

As a Guest Attendant at Chartwell, you’ll provide personal care, assistance, and support to our residents, helping them live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. What You’ll Do

• Help residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines like dressing and meals
• Provide support with laundry, light housekeeping, and meal service
• Administer medications and follow individual care plans
• Keep resident areas clean and safe, and follow all health and safety protocols
• Respond to resident and family concerns and report to the Health and Wellness Manager when needed

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services
• Secondary school education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors’ needs
• Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Good physical and mental health to meet the demands of the rolePhysical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
