Job summary

Levante Living in Huntsville, Canada, is seeking a compassionate nursing professional to support residents under the Director of Care. You will respond to call bells, assist with the Plan of Care, observe resident changes, and complete nursing documentation per residence policies.

Bi-weekly - 30 hours. You will assist with admissions/discharges and provide emergency nursing care when needed, promoting dignity, safety and resident independence within our caregiving team.

Qualifications

• Notifies the Director of Care of any resident or family concerns.
• Attends and actively participates in daily communication meetings.
• Provides feedback in assessment and development of the Plan of Care.
• Answers call bells when necessary.
• Observes and reports resident changes in condition.
• Completes nursing documentation per residence policies and guidelines.
• Deals courteously with staff, residents, resident families and visitors.
• Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety.
• Demonstrates empathy, mindful of each resident's communication patterns, history and needs.
• Assists with monthly blood pressures and weights as assigned.
• Provides emergency first aid/nursing care until appropriate medical care is available.
• Assists with resident admissions and discharges when required.
• Assists with any other duties as directed by the Director of Care.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Care.
