Job summary

Modine is seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our manufacturing team on the morning and afternoon shift. You will perform high-quality GTAW welding on light gauge materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, while collaborating with teammates to meet production targets.

The role requires experience with GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes, the ability to read technical drawings, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with GTAW (TIG), FCAW, and GMAW welding processes.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime (weekdays/weekends) as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating shears and press brakes is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Utilize FCAW and GMAW processes as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
• Ensure weld quality meets required standards and specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment
• Inspect finished welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and consistency
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
