Job summary

Lindt Canada is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager for the Lindt Chocolate Shop in Halton Hills Premium Outlet. You will help lead daily operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service while mentoring retail staff.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education is required.
• Minimum five years of experience in retail sales, including management or supervisory experience.
• Experience in inventory control and order management.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role with 2 to 5 years of overall retail experience.
• Hospitality or restaurant industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of barista work and gelato or ice cream products is an asset.
• Previous experience in merchandising or visual presentation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of the daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop.
• Support the generation and growth of corporate sales.
• Model exemplary customer service and establish clear service standards.
• Monitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability.
• Assist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales Associates.
• Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitability.
• Support training on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Order merchandise and supplies with focus on inventory management and loss prevention.
• Reconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork, payroll, accounting, and store administration tasks.
• Develop knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expenses.
• Support ongoing performance management, including employee performance reviews.
• Maintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standards.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food and product safety.
• Manage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties.
