Job summary

Lindt Canada is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager for our Lindt Chocolate Shop at Sherway Gardens. You will help manage daily operations, drive sales, maintain product presentation, and uphold our customer service standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate brings post-secondary education and 5+ years in retail with supervisory experience, a passion for chocolate, strong communication, and inventory control know-how.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education.
• 5+ years retail sales experience including supervisory roles.
• Experience in inventory control and order management.
• Experience in hospitality or restaurant industry preferred.
• Knowledge of barista work or gelato/ice cream is an asset.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Passion for chocolate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop.
• Support the generation and growth of corporate sales.
• Uphold exemplary customer service by modeling appropriate behaviours and establishing service standards.
• Monitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability.
• Assist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales Associates.
• Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitability.
• Support training on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Order merchandise and supplies with focus on inventory management and loss prevention.
• Reconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork.
• Develop knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expenses.
• Support ongoing performance management, including employee reviews.
• Maintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standards.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food and product safety.
• Manage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties.
