Job summary

Workland on the South-Shore of Montreal seeks a Financial Controller — Architect of Growth to scale the finance function and guide strategic decisions. You will work directly with senior management on acquisitions and innovation initiatives, building the financial backbone for growth.

You will oversee accounting operations, monthly closings, and governance, ensuring ASPE compliance and clear reporting. French proficiency and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

Accounting degree and CPA designation.
5+ years of accounting experience (public practice an asset).
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE).
Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Advanced French; functional English; bilingualism an asset.

Responsibilities

Contribute to acquisition and innovation projects.
Translate forecasts and analyses into strategic recommendations for leadership.
Coordinate with external experts on strategic initiatives (tax, IT, innovation).
Oversee AR/AP, GL, payroll; deliver timely financial statements.
Establish internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
Identify efficiency gains in inventory, automation, and workflows.
