About The Role
Our Group Account Directors bring value to our clients through their exceptional modern marketing skills. “In it to win it’, they have great hunting instincts and know when to bring in the capabilities to meet client needs and help close the deal. They typically act as managers of one large and/or multiple smaller Integrated regional/global accounts. They possess C-Suite gravitas and are valued by our most senior clients for their partnership and strategic guidance. They are agency hunters and team builders who drive client business results, as well as our Agency share of wallet. Importantly, they act as advocates and champions of the Ogilvy brand to our clients, employees and candidates alike. They are exceptional team leaders who inspire others to act courageously.
What You'll Do
- Managing large regional Integrated portfolio of clients’ businesses
- Nurture and grow key senior client relationships by being a trusted advisor to senior client management and work as an objective insider and advocate for the entire client organization
- Constantly hunt for organic new business growth
- Drive all aspects of client service, including strategy, program development and execution-leading growth and development of their respective practice area
- Lead client thinking on strategy development and providing targeted, actionable insights
- Understand the agency business model and identify and utilize all Agency capabilities to produce exceptional results for the client
- Manage client P&L, business growth and an operating target margins
- Keep your eye on client satisfaction metrics and associated performance measures
- Generate ideas and actions that produce tangible business results
- Initiate thought leadership projects that enhance our reputation and add value to our client’s business
- Ensure appropriate resources are available to deliver and drive client growth as well as maximize performance and productivity
- Manage integrated agency teams, inspiring and motivating action across departments and capabilities; fostering teamwork
- Attract and retain core talent and manage others to their maximum potential; develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness and satisfaction
- Work closely with HR on Career Conversations and goal setting for your team; setting achievable performance goals for self and others
- Cultivate an atmosphere that embraces diversity and inclusion within the team and agency
What You'll Need
- 11+ years of experience, including 7+ years of supervisory experience
- Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape
- Strong business & financial acumen
- Be the client’s gatekeeper; ensuring creative excellence/output
- Strong networker of both internal and external talent
- Passionate about the work, your team and our business
- Naturally curious and early adopter.
- A good listener, someone who reads people and those in a room well (and adapts their style and response accordingly)
- A strong leader that manages the professional and management skills of team members; provides ongoing feedback and training opportunities for team
- Financial services marketing knowledge and experience
- Billingual (English and French) is an asset
