Job summary

Cargojet in Mirabel, QC, is seeking a reliable loader/handler to ensure safe and timely processing of cargo and aircraft loading/offloading within prescribed parameters.

You will load/offload aircraft and trucks, operate ground support equipment, and sort packages while maintaining strict safety and security protocols. Candidates must be able to lift up to 60lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and thrive in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance).
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work within a “team first” environment, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Excellent punctuality and attendance habits.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the local operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to work shift work, weekends and stat holidays.
• Background check clearance and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Load/offload of aircrafts and trucks.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Repeated lifting of packages up to 60lbs.
• Sort packages by destination and other parameters.
• Communicate counts and package information to Leads/Supervisors.
• Handle customer packages with due care and attention.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Handle dangerous goods per procedures.
• Meet time-sensitive deadlines as part of a team.
• Complete training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention).
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Work daily around aircraft.
