Job summary

Cargojet is Canada’s leading provider of time-sensitive overnight air cargo services. The chosen candidate will operate the main deck and lower deck loader in a safe, proper manner and report any equipment damage or potential problems.

Prior experience with ground service equipment and the ability to lift up to 60lbs are required. You must hold a valid driver’s license, be ready for shift work, and comply with safety and security protocols including WHMIS and Dangerous Goods handling.

Qualifications

• RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance) or ability to obtain one.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have own reliable transportation.
• Excellent driving skills in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work within a team and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to work shift work, weekends and stat holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the main deck/lower deck loader safely.
• Report equipment abnormalities or performance issues.
• Stay informed about new equipment and procedures.
• Follow all airport procedures and safety policies.
• Operate equipment during shifts as required.
• Responsible for equipment condition, fuel, and performance.
• Learn and apply training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods).
• Meet time-sensitive deadlines for freight build-up/breakdown as a team.
