Job summary

This role focuses on safe and timely processing of cargo and aircraft loading/offloading within prescribed parameters. As part of a dedicated team, you will meet time-sensitive deadlines, adhere to safety and security protocols, and work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Ability to obtain RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance).
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly.
• Team-focused environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Excellent punctuality and attendance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to fast-changing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and stat holidays.
• Background check; cannabis policy compliance.
• Willing to work outside.

Responsibilities

• Loading/offloading of aircrafts and trucks.
• Repeated and continuous lifting of packages up to 60lbs.
• Sort packages by destination and other parameters.
• Communicate counts and package information to Lead Hands and Supervisors.
• Handle customer packages and freight with due care.
• Ensure all safety and security protocols are adhered to.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as required.
• Perform tasks associated with Dangerous Goods Handling/Acceptance.
• Meet time-sensitive deadlines for freight build-up/breakdown as part of a team.
• Learn and apply training modules required for the position (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention).
