Job summary

Executive Aviation is seeking casual Ground Handlers for the Sandspit Below the Wing team at Sandspit Airport (YZP). The role involves assisting with ground service operations, coordinating luggage, and maintaining aircraft cleanliness and safety, reporting to a Shift Lead.

From early mornings to weekends, the position requires physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, outdoor work in all weather, and adherence to Transport Canada procedures.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push/pull for extended periods.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg).
• Willingness to work outside in all types of weather.
• Must wear safety gear: steel toe boots, reflective vest, and hearing protection.
• Meet conditions of employment: Transport Canada Restricted Area pass, criminal background check, and a valid driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed per Transport Canada rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove dispose of it when found.
• Groom aircraft – clean cabin, galleys, lavatories; restock supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
