Job summary

Executive Aviation is seeking Ground Handlers for Kamloops Below the Wing at Kamloops Airport (YKA). The role reports to a Shift Lead and offers progression opportunities with a comprehensive benefits package.

The position carries a wage range of $18.40–$21.45 per hour, with Health benefits for all staff and flight benefits with partner airlines. Weekend/evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, lift up to 70 lbs/32 kgs for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather.
• Must wear safety gear including steel-toe boots, reflective vest, and hearing protection.
• Criminal background check and Transport Canada Restricted Area pass required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Transport Canada rules and airline procedures.
• Operate ground service equipment and marshal/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Load/unload guest baggage per the load plan and deliver to baggage claim.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories; inspect ramp areas for debris.
• Groom aircraft interiors and restock supplies; perform other duties as assigned.

Executive Aviation is hiring Ground Handlers for our Kamloops Below the Wing team at the Kamloops Airport (YKA). This role reports directly to an amazing Shift Lead who is there to support you.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment: Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
• A criminal background check
• Hold a valid BC driver’s license with a clear drivers abstract
