Calgary Co-op is seeking a Grocery Utility Clerk to ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe, efficient operation. You will stock, face, and organize displays across dairy, freezer, grocery and warehouse areas, while upholding company policies and safety standards.

You will handle ordering, receiving, and inventory tasks, assist other departments as needed, and train teammates in Grocery Utility Clerk duties. Fluency in English and a willingness to learn are essential.

Formación

• Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Related retail experience, including the provision of customer service.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Receiving and product knowledge / experience.
• Knowledge of ordering merchandise and supplies and related procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service and maintain positive customer relations.
• Stock, build displays and face shelves in a neat, organized manner across dairy, freezer, grocery and warehouse.
• Handle merchandise, ensure quality and price integrity, and manage substitutions and price changes.
• Perform general cleaning duties and keep sales floor and back stock area tidy.
• Follow Occupational Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations to keep staff and customers safe.
• Care for and maintain equipment; report repairs when needed.
• Oversee ordering merchandise and supplies and manage receiving activities (invoices, returns, transfers, claims).
• Assist in inventory organization and training others in Grocery Utility Clerk duties.
