Job summary

Italian Centre Shop is hiring a Full-Time Grocery Clerk for the Northland Village location in Calgary, Alberta. You will stock shelves, label products, assist in ordering and engage customers to promote sales while upholding store standards.

We offer a free lunch on most shifts, a yearly bonus, health benefits for full-time employees, onsite parking, and growth opportunities. Shifts run 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.; evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience in a customer focused role.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring shelves are well stocked and properly labelled.
• Properly rotate and face stock in a timely manner.
• Assist in ordering and receiving specialty products.
• Suggestive selling.
• Keeping work area clean and safe as per company standards.
• Uphold company procedures, standards and policies.
• Other duties as required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Ensuring shelves are well stocked and properly labelled

We are willing to train the right candidate but most successful candidates possess these:

Working conditions

• Job requires employee to work a variety of shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Job also requires employee to work with challenging customers and/or situations.
• Employees will be exposed to cold temperatures when accessing our frozen goods section andrefrigerated areas.
