Job summary

ICS South Ltd. is seeking a Full-Time Shipper/Receiver at our South Side location (5028 104 A ST NW, Edmonton, AB). The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, safe forklift operation, and accurate handling of invoices as part of daily warehouse duties.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with benefits including health coverage for full-time employees, a yearly bonus, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Two years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Two years in a customer-focused role preferred.
• Forklift experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities

• Prioritize providing exceptional customer service to deliver a positive customer experience thereby cultivating a positive reputation for the company and fostering customer loyalty.
• Responsible for efficient and safe forklift operation to support daily warehouse operations.
• Reviewing and verifying invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing, loading, and delivering a wide variety of Italian Centre Shop products to clients within the city and surrounding areas as requested.
• After delivery, go over the order with the client and double-check it against the invoice.
• Establishing and maintaining outstanding relations with customers.
• Engaging with customers, answering questions, and promoting products and services enhances loyalty, sales, and profits.
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of products from trucks in a safe manner.
• Processing transactions accurately and efficiently by reviewing the packing and delivery slips and invoices.
• Picking, packing, sealing, and labelling products to ensure they are ready for shipment.
• Delivering high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
• Promoting a positive company image by actively engaging with employees, customers, suppliers, and the community.
• Filling out logs as directed by the manager.
• Ensuring a log is kept of all returns, including the reason for the return (wrong product, unaware of price, etc.), and reporting returns to the manager daily.
• Being aware of and following basic inventory and waste guidelines.
• Adhering to shipping and receiving policies and procedures.
• Loading and unloading products from trucks.
• Receiving merchandise and ensuring the shipment content matches invoices and orders.
• Picking, packing, sealing, and labelling products to prepare them for shipping.
• Stocking shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting and organization system and equipment.
• Moving products around a warehouse using a pallet jack.
• Working collaboratively as a team and assisting other teams when required.
• Maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
• Building pallets and picking orders.
• RepresentingICS both in and out of the store.
• Adhering to all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Other duties as required.

Physical requirements

• Long periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
• Frequent motions include bending, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Manual and repetitive tasks.
• Required to lift up to 22.5 kg (50 lbs) on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School or GED from an accredited school system or program
• A minimum of two-year experience in a warehouse role
• A minimum of two-year experience in a customer focused role
• A minimum of two-year experience operating a forklift
