Job summary

ICS West Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Part-Time Grocery Clerk at our West location (17010 90 Ave NW). You will stock and label shelves, rotate stock, and assist with ordering while delivering strong customer service and maintaining store standards.

The right candidate may be trained; a High School diploma or GED is preferred and at least one year in a customer-focused role is encouraged. Shifts include mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shelves are well stocked and properly labelled.
• Rotate and face stock in a timely manner.
• Assist in ordering and receiving specialty products.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
• Keep work area clean and safe per company standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Ensuring shelves are well stocked and properly labelled
• Properly rotate and face stock in a timely manner
• Assist in ordering and receiving specialty products
• Suggestive selling
• Keeping work area clean and safe as per company standards
• Uphold company procedures, standards and policies
• Other duties as required

We are willing to train the right candidate but most successful candidates possess these:

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience in a customer focused role

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a professional image at all times
• Work independently with little direct supervision
• Have a well-balanced concern for both task and people
• Have a genuine concern for needs of customers

Working conditions

• Job requires employee to work a variety of shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Job also requires employee to work with challenging customers and/or situations.
• Employees will be exposed to cold temperatures when accessing our frozen goods section andrefrigerated areas.
