Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.

Experience: 5 years or more in graphic design.

Work setting:

• Printing shop

Tasks:

1. Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations.
2. Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions such as multimedia, interactive and digital products, and television advertising and productions.
3. Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations to meet their communication needs.
4. Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations.
5. Work in a multidisciplinary environment.
6. Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual, or electronic materials.
7. Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communication materials.
8. Develop graphic elements that meet clients' objectives.
9. Prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements.
10. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
11. Operate and monitor printing machines during print runs and make adjustments.
12. Confer with clients to determine design needs.
13. Operate and maintain print shop and mailing house equipment.
