Graphic Design & Communications Specialist

Join our internal Communications Team as a Graphic Design & Communications Specialist, where you will be a creative force responsible for designing visually compelling content that engages and inspires our employees. Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you will blend artistic flair with strategic communication skills to produce impactful visual and written content.

Responsibilities

• Develop eye-catching visual concepts based on requirements.
• Design digital assets such as event invitations, illustrations, infographics, Canva templates, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Revise and refine designs based on feedback until they meet quality standards.
• Ensure all deliverables are on-brand, visually compelling, and audience-appropriate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop engaging content for internal campaigns, newsletters, and announcements.
• Maintain communication and event calendars.
• Support ad hoc communication projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, graphic design, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong design skills with a solid understanding of layout, typography, and branding.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and storytelling abilities.
• Proficiency with photographic equipment is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Primarily remote with travel to Mississauga and surrounding areas as required.
• Travel flexibility based on project needs.
