Grant Administrator Volunteer
WOW Toronto is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Grant Administrator to oversee the entire grant process and provide administrative and technical support to the organization. They will oversee allocating grants and working closely with officers of WOW Toronto to implement projects and will monitor them closely to ensure its successful execution. A successful Grant Administrator will build trust with donors and help to secure funds for our programs.
Responsibilities:
●Guide staff on budget preparation and formatting
● review proposed budgets by the team to ensure that they conform to the policies and procedures of the organization
● facilitate project approval documents through acceptance and signature process
● Coordinate the procurement process for project-related purchasing activities
● Prepare the necessary legal documents for projects
● Review and approve all grant-related payment requests, bills, invoices and statements
● Analyze monthly financial reports with the director, make corrections to grant income and expenditure as necessary and communicate changes to the business manager
● Support the project director by monitoring measurable outcomes and collecting statistics required by the funding sources
● Prepare grant reports and disseminate them to donors after the completion of projects
● Seek additional funding sources to support and expand projects
● Represent and promote the foundation at social events to gain new donors
Desired Qualifications:
●Undergraduate degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field
●At least 1 year of similar experience; includes experience acquired through practicum or volunteering
●Excellent written communication skills
