Job summary

Arup in Toronto is seeking a Graduate in Bridge & Civil Structures to join the team in 2027. You will contribute to design, analysis, and technical reports for significant bridge and infrastructure projects across Canada.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in civil/architectural/structural engineering, with interest in bridges and infrastructure, and a willingness to learn within multidisciplinary teams. Master’s degree and professional associations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, or structural engineering
• Master’s degree in civil engineering architectural or structural engineering with emphasis on structures preferred
• Eligible to become a member of PEO, APEGA, EGBC, and/or OIQ preferred
• Structural analysis software skills (Midas, SAP2000, CSiBridge) preferred
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and/or on technical design projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Preliminary and detailed structural design for new and existing bridges and civil structures
• Analyse simple and complex structures using structural analysis software
• Prepare design drawings, calculation packages, and technical reports
• Review and comment on designs, shop drawings, and technical reports from others
• Learning to navigate through design codes and technical guideline
