Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer in Ottawa to design sites, roads and drainage using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and Bentley tools. You will model stormwater and water systems with InfoWorks, HydraFlow, PCSWMM and EPANET, while researching standards and coordinating across teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Solid knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with CAD software.

We deliver engineering for utility-scale solar plants, BESS, Wind Farma and high voltage substation. Detail power system study for substation, datacenter, BESS and solar plant.

The opportunity

• Use Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Bentley (MicroStation, Power InRoads) software to design and detail sites, roads, drainage systems, utilities as well as site grading and earthworks
• Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as InfoWorks, Hydraflow, PCSWMM and EPANET to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary and potable water systems
• Research and apply codes, specifications and standards for design of the above elements
• Coordinate with other teams to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes
• Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design and construction process
• Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery
• Engage with project collaborators and clients to develop designs that meets needs and concerns
• Support development of technical documentation including reports, presentations, memos, calculation packages, and specifications

Toronto, Ottawa and Calgary Hiring Range – Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Ottawa is $72,250 to $74,250 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of these regions will differ.
