Job description

Central New Brunswick Woodlands is seeking a skilled Grader Operator to join our team. The successful candidate of this unionized position, will be responsible for operating a grader to maintain and construct forestry roads, ensuring safe and efficient access for logging and transportation activities.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a grader to build, maintain, and repair forestry roads.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other operators and supervisors to meet project timelines.
  • Report any mechanical issues or hazards promptly.
  • Be able to work different shifts as needed including days, nights and weekends.
  • Actively take part in training and coaching activities.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating as a grader in forestry or construction settings.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license; Class 1 or 3 license considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of road building and grading techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and in remote locations.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and environmental best practices.
  • Be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
