MacArthurs Paving (2026) Inc. is seeking an experienced Fine Grade Operator to support asphalt preparation on residential, commercial and municipal projects.

You will fine grade, shape roadbeds, and prepare surfaces to ensure smooth, accurate asphalt placement. Responsibilities include operating skid steer, backhoe, mini-excavator and grader with milling head attachments, achieving precise slopes and elevations, and working closely with foremen and crews to maintain production and safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating fine grading equipment in road construction or paving prep.
• Strong ability to perform fine grading with precision and attention to elevations and slopes.
• Able to work efficiently in fast-paced paving environments.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer, backhoe, mini-excavator and grader to shape, cut, and fine grade.
• Operate skid steer with milling head attachments.
• Prepare surfaces for asphalt paving with precise slopes, crowns, and elevations.
• Collaborate with paving foremen, surveyors and ground crews to maintain production.
• Ensure drainage, transitions, and grade tolerances before paving.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Maintain safe operations around crews, traffic, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, project specifications and municipal requirements.

Join our team! We are hiring an experienced Fine Grade Operator to support our asphalt preparation work on residential, commercial and municipal paving projects. This role involves fine grading, shaping roadbeds, and preparing surfaces to ensure smooth, accurate, and high-quality asphalt placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer, backhoe, mini-excavator and grader to shape, cut, and fine grade

• Operate skid steer with milling head multiple attachments

• Prepare surfaces for asphalt paving, achieving precise slopes, crowns, and elevations

• Work closely with paving foremen, surveyors, and ground crews to maintain production

• Ensure proper drainage, transitions, and grade tolerances before paving

• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance

• Maintain safe operations around crews, traffic, and equipment

• Follow all safety procedures, project specifications, and municipal requirements
