Job summary

Pomerleau in Canada is seeking a grader operator to join the Civil & Infrastructure team and work on large-scale road and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with on-site teams to ensure grading is performed safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

As a grader operator, you will operate the grader, follow safety procedures, maintain equipment, and collaborate with shifts.

Qualifications

• CCQ grader operator card required
• ASP Construction card and WHMIS 2015 required
• DEP construction equipment operator or equivalent experience
• Valid Class 5 driving license
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a grader operator role

Responsibilities

• Operate a grader to perform grading, finishing and maintenance work on road, highway or infrastructure construction sites
• Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards
• Work as a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting working climate, collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and other shifts on the site

As a grader operator working in the Civil & Infrastructure team at the Pomerleau, you will have to work closely with all workers to ensure the coordination and execution of work in a safe manner. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over a billion dollars - you will have the opportunity to contribute to the productivity and efficiency of work on our sites.

What You Will Do

• Operate a grader to perform grading, finishing and maintenance work on road, highway or infrastructure construction sites;
• Adhere to safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and construction industry standards;
• Work as a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting working climate, collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and other shifts on the site;

• Perform all other related tasks related to operations.

This Role Is Made For You If You Have

• A valid CCQ grader operator card
• A valid ASP Construction card and WHMIS 2015
• A DEP construction equipment operator or equivalent experience
• A valid driving license – Class 5
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
