Job summary

Frontier School Division in Wanipigow is seeking a Grade 4 teacher for Wanipigow School, starting September 8, 2026. The position runs as a term through December 18, 2026, with an application deadline open until filled.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Education and Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility), bring strong classroom management, curriculum knowledge, and experience with school-based technology.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

Wanipigow School is a modern well-equipped Nursery to Grade 12 school with 291 students located in the community of Hollow Water nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, a two-hour drive northeast of Winnipeg. The beautiful surrounding area features an abundance of canoe routes, fishing spots and in the winter cross-country ski trails.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
  • A sound knowledge of provincial curricula
  • Previous teaching experience
  • A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
  • Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
