  • Grounded in our Multi Year Strategic Plan and its commitment to decolonization, reconciliation, Indigenous ways of being, inclusion, and anti-racist/anti-oppressive/anti-bias pedagogies, the successful candidate will demonstrate their collaboration, effective communication, and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Develop and support communication and relationship skills with Students, Parents, and Colleagues; include student voice and choice; communicate with caregivers; collaborate with colleagues; manage conflict.
  • Develop and implement an effective instructional process with infusion of Indigenous ways of being and knowing; equity-centred practice and inclusive pedagogy; differentiation; curriculum understanding and data-informed planning; effective use of ICT as a teaching tool.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies; use learner-centred assessment; use assessment data to inform instruction.
  • Commit to professional development; connect MYSP to professional learning; reflect on practice to inform growth, particularly around inclusive programming.
