Position Overview

The Nisga'a School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher to work with students at Nathan Barton Elementary School. The anticipated assignment is Grade 3/4; however, the final assignment will be determined based on current student enrollment and school organizational needs. The role is carried out within a learning environment grounded in culture, community, and connection to the land and includes contributing to reconciliation through respectful integration of Nisga'a and Indigenous perspectives in teaching and learning, supported through collaboration, professional learning, and relationships with community.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility)
  • Legally permitted to work in Canada
