Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE Grade 1 teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Good Shepherd Catholic School. Start date is as soon as possible for the 2026-2027 year.

The successful candidate must hold Alberta Teacher Certification and a Bachelor of Education, and will join a team that supports Indigenous learning, STEM and Fine Arts programs while offering a comprehensive benefits package.

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a 1.0 FTE full-time Grade 1teacher for the 2026-2027 school year effective immediately for the 2026 - 2027 school year at Good Shepherd Catholic School.

Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but, not limited to, the following:

• identify students’ individual and collective learning needs
• plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
• provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential
• help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• meet with parents
• evaluate and communicate student progress
• prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
• meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
• volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities
• attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions.
