Job summary

Morgan Creek Golf Course is seeking a Golf Event and Catering Coordinator to drive planning and execution of golf tournaments and events. You will manage client communication, event planning, invoicing and on-site coordination to ensure flawless experiences.

Ideal candidates enjoy golf and food & beverage, exhibit top-tier organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Flexible scheduling includes weekends during peak season May–October.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality or golf events preferred.
  • Strong client communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage invoicing and on-site event coordination.
  • Flexibility to work varied start times and weekends during peak season.
  • Valid Serving It Right and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clear and timely client communication for events.
  • Plan and execute golf tournaments and events including menu planning and on-course needs.
  • Prepare and distribute event invoices and manage payments.
  • Coordinate event details using event software and prep materials.
  • Be on-site during events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Handle advanced bookings, contracts, and pre-payments.
  • Foster positive client relationships to drive repeat business.
  • Conduct pre and post-event evaluations to improve processes.

Job Summary: As the Golf Event and Catering Coordinator at Morgan Creek Golf Course, you will be the driving force behind the planning and execution of golf tournaments and events. Your responsibilities will include client communication, event planning, invoicing, on-site coordination, and ensuring the seamless execution of events. Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, ensuring their event needs are met.
  • Event Planning: Collaborate with clients to plan and execute events, including menu planning, on course requirements, decorations, and more.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and distribute event invoices, ensuring timely payment collection.
  • Event Coordination: Utilize event software to confirm details, coordinate with departments, and prepare event materials.
  • On-Site Management: Be present on event days.
  • Advanced Bookings: Handle bookings for smaller groups, including contract management, pre-payments and tee time bookings.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain positive client relationships to foster repeat business.
  • Evaluation: Conduct pre and post-event evaluations, contributing to process improvement.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail while managing a diverse workload.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in golf or hospitality.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in computer systems and software applications. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Golf Genius, ReServe Interactive, and Club Prophets is an asset.
  • Schedule and Availability: This role requires a flexible schedule based on our event calendar, including varied start times and occasional weekend work, particularly during our peak season from May through October.
  • Golf Knowledge: General knowledge of golf is an asset.
  • Food and Beverage Knowledge: General knowledge of food and beverage operations is an asset.
  • Certifications: Valid serving it right certificate and a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods.

50,000 to $55,000
