Job summary
Avetta is seeking a Localization Technical Program Manager to set technical direction and partner across Product, Engineering, UX/UI, and Localization to make products globally ready. The role combines i18n engineering, localization systems ownership, and technical program leadership to ensure scalable localization workflows throughout the product lifecycle.
You will own i18n design, TMS integrations, and the AI-enabled translation platform, guiding standards and enabling the localization team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
- 5+ years in i18n engineering or localization technology.
- Experience with Phrase or comparable TMS.
- Experience building localization APIs/integrations.
- Familiarity with JSON/XML/XLIFF, REST APIs and CI/CD is helpful.
- Ability to work across Product, Engineering and localization teams in Agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement i18n solutions across the software development lifecycle.
- Define locale behavior and RTL support across products.
- Own and administer Phrase or a comparable TMS.
- Lead localization technical programs from planning through release.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX/UI, and Localization Testing teams.
