Job summary

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking a Principal, Trade Support to lead a global Trade Support function and own the end-to-end trade lifecycle from release to settlement. You will partner with engineers, product owners, portfolio managers, traders, and operations leaders to scale, automate, and improve controls and transparency across equities, fixed income, FX, and swaps.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading institutional investment operations and teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the trade lifecycle end to end across global markets including release, capture, allocation, confirmation, affirmation, settlement and fails management.
• Lead and develop a global team across multiple locations with clear goals and career pathways.
• Operate a follow-the-sun function with standardized handoffs and global process consistency.
• Drive same-day allocation and affirmation to high rates while reducing settlement fails via root-cause analysis.
• Define the roadmap for a T+1 control cockpit with real-time telemetry and risk ranking.
• Partner with engineers and product owners to identify recurring exception patterns and drive improvements.
• Oversee equity swap lifecycle administration and FX processing with independent verification of cashflows.
• Engage with portfolio managers, traders, brokers, custodians and regulators to mitigate trade risks.
• Establish service levels, incident management, and post-incident reviews with governance practices.
