Job summary

Allshores is seeking a talented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Compliance team. This role will help manage legal and regulatory risk across Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Europe and other Caribbean jurisdictions, collaborating with business leaders to support strategic growth.

The successful candidate will provide practical legal advice, assist with corporate governance, regulatory submissions, and transactions, and help develop policies and training to strengthen

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience interacting directly with regulators is an asset.
• Experience supporting M&A, reorganizations or market expansion initiatives an asset.
• Strong communication skills and strategic thinking.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and able to advise stakeholders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on applicable laws and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Lead growth initiatives including acquisitions, partnerships, product launches and market expansion.
• Interface with regulators regularly to maintain relationships with Head of Compliance.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements and other documents.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their impact.
• Support governance activities including corporate filings, minutes and resolutions.
• Develop policies, procedures and controls; deliver legal training.
