Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Milton, Ontario, seeks a Senior Operations, Pharma Specialist to manage Pharma/Healthcare shipments end-to-end, coordinating movements with overseas offices, airlines, ocean carriers and truckers. The role requires five years in international transportation or related field, with pharma GDP/GMP knowledge.

You will ensure compliance with DSV policies and government regulations, delivering top-tier service.

Qualifications

• Five years international transportation industry experience or related field
• Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or related field
• CIFFA certificate, an asset
• Pharmaceutical certification (GDP/GMP), an asset
• Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, an asset

Responsibilities

• Daily management and coordination of shipments.
• Collaborate with overseas offices/agents to organize air and ocean shipments.
• Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender/dispatch shipments.
• Create/prepare shipping documents as required.
• Work with customs brokers and customs agencies to arrange customs clearance for import shipments.
• Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations and DSV policies.
• Track and trace all shipments.
• Prepare and publish reports as required.
• Identify problems and implement solutions.
• Communicate with customers on shipment updates and resolution.
• Confirm rates and service levels with carriers.
• Reconcile payables and vendor invoice approvals.
• Prepare quotes for clients and network offices/agents.
• Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, choose cost-effective transport modes.
• Perform lane analysis to determine appropriate transport mode.
• Investigate non-conformities with Quality teams for corrective actions.
• Ensure DSV KPIs are met during shipment movement.
