Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Payroll Leader to direct a diverse, in-country payroll team, ensuring accurate, compliant payroll delivery and strong internal controls.

You will partner with Finance, manage year-end activities, govern payroll processes, and drive continuous improvement across global and shared-services environments.

This role requires current PCP certification, extensive Canada payroll knowledge, and proven leadership across dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Significant payroll experience with current payroll certification (PCP required; CPM preferred).
• Strong leadership of geographically dispersed teams through organizational change.
• Deep knowledge of Canada payroll, payroll tax, and wage & legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a diverse team of in-country payroll professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
• Oversee compliant payroll operations with thorough process documentation and strong internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with federal/provincial payroll legislation, tax regulations, CPP, EI, provincial health taxes, and year-end reporting.
