Job summary

Export Packers, a Brampton-based international food company, seeks a Senior Logistics Manager to oversee global temp-controlled logistics, including ocean freight, warehousing, and intermodal operations across North America, Asia, Europe, and beyond.

You will lead a diverse team, drive continuous improvement, develop budgets, and manage RFQ activities, while collaborating with 3PL partners to optimize cold storage solutions. Strong leadership and ERP/MS Office skills required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in logistics, with at least 5 years in leadership, temp-controlled transport
• Degree or diploma in Logistics, SCM, or related field; advanced degree asset
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams globally
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with ocean freight bookings and steamship line negotiations
• Ability to develop pricing agreements, vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement
• Experience with 3PL partners in cold storage in US/Canada
• Proficient with MS Dynamics 365 and MS Office; knowledge of TMS is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee a global logistics team across regions, focusing on temperature-controlled operations
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with accountability and continuous improvement
• Provide visionary leadership to anticipate challenges and align strategies
• Drive change management and adoption of best practices within logistics
• Develop budgets, optimize resources, and monitor costs
• Autonomously manage RFQ and benchmarking activities
• Coordinate intermodal shipments and container drayage at US/Canadian ports
• Negotiate ocean freight rates with steamship lines for cost efficiency
• Collaborate with US/Canada 3PLs for cold storage and pricing
• Handle marine, warehouse, and transportation claims with vendors
• Drive strategic supply chain initiatives to boost performance and agility
• Ensure compliance with regulations for temperature-controlled transport
• Establish Logistics KPIs and corrective actions for growth
