Job summary
Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC in Vancouver is seeking Software Development Engineers to tackle real-world problems and scale distributed systems. You’ll join a team that supports selling partner services with robust, reliable software and strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and support.
Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of software development or tech support, strong scripting, debugging, and RESTful API experience, plus a working knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of software development or technical support experience.
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow.
- Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls.
Responsibilities
- Provide support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks across multiple products.
- Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in Java.
- Software deployment support in staging and production environments.
- Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering to take over active support issues and build a team knowledge base.
