Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC seeks an innovative Software Development Manager to transform how millions of sellers worldwide manage their financial operations. You will design solutions that simplify complex financial processes and influence Amazon's global selling platform across 35+ markets.

As a technical leader, you will guide the design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of products, build team roadmaps, and hire and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of the engineering life cycle including coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

We support Stores Partners with foundational capabilities for financial event onboarding, balance tracking, payouts, collections, risk reduction, and internal financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
• Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
• Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
