Job summary

Caldic Canada Inc. is seeking a Customs & Freight Specialist to support compliant import/export activities across Canada and the U.S.

You will coordinate shipments, prepare regulatory documentation, and work with brokers and logistics teams to ensure timely clearance. Reporting to the Logistics & Customs Manager, you will monitor entries, resolve issues, and assist in duties and tariff assessments for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in customs, import/export compliance, international freight, or a closely related role.
• Strong working knowledge of HS/HTS classification and tariff treatments.
• Experience with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and Third-Party Logistics providers.
• Familiarity with FDA clearance and Prior Notice requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international import/export shipments by air, ground, and ocean with brokers and logistics providers.
• Prepare and review required customs and shipping documents (BOLs, invoices, packing lists, origin certificates).
• Support regulatory submissions and documentation (FDA Prior Notice, CFIA, CBSA, CBP).
• Maintain and monitor customs entries and broker communications to minimize delays.
