Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Customs Brokerage Specialist in Dorval to manage the customs brokerage process, ensure correct classification and duties paid, and document services per contract.

You will act as the primary liaison with Canada Customs, respond to requests, file entries, and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Fluency in English and knowledge of import regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience
• Fluent in Import Regulations, Customs Brokerage process, and other import compliance issues
• Familiar with Import Regulations, Import License requirements, and other import compliance issues
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Familiarity with the internet
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Able to plan and organize a complex process from start to finish
• Able to organize and prioritize tasks
• Able to work effectively in a time constrained environment and meet strictly enforced daily deadlines
• Willing to communicate with customers and colleagues and provide excellent customer service

Responsibilities

• Manage the customs brokerage process per SOPs
• Validate classification and duties/taxes per requirements
• Document services per contract or SLA
• Serve as first contact for customers with Canada Customs
• File compliant Customs and OGA entries and obtain release
• Identify customer needs and coordinate with departments to implement changes
