Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Canada-based Customs Specialist in Mississauga to prepare and review imports documentation and process CAD entries in compliance with Canada Customs regulations. You will liaise with importers and CBSA, correct rejected entries, and close files accurately.

Ideal candidates have 3-4 years of customs brokerage experience, CCS certification, and strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. You will work in an office-based role with a team-focused, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years+ experience in Customs Brokerage.
  • Must have valid and current CCS.
  • Understands and can utilize the Customs tariff.
  • Experience with Cargowise (CW1) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must know the basics of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Team player and works well on their own.
  • Office-based

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review customs documentation for imports.
  • Process CAD entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and Canada Customs regulations.
  • Correct Canada Customs rejected entries.
  • Liaise with importer and CBSA to arrange and facilitate required documentation during customs examinations.
  • Complete and close files in a timely and accurate manner, in line with company and customs policies.
