Job summary

GEODIS in Mississauga is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to support staff with frontline customs guidance and customer inquiries. You will review processes, assist teams with resolving customs and carrier issues, and prepare reports to monitor compliance while training and coaching teammates.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and ability to interpret regulations are required. Competitive CAD salary range and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience and/or training.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customs guidance on compliance for customer filings on front line.
• Respond to client inquiries, referring to trade services as required.
• Review internal processes and implement improvements.
• Assist teams in resolving customs and carrier issues.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and serve as main contact.
• Prepare and monitor customs compliance and broker management reports.
• Train, coach and supervise team members.
• Support KPIs and timely releases.
• Coordinate with customs colleagues on technical matters.
• Assist with AP/AR discrepancies and accounting issues.
• Support GEODIS programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability.
