Job summary

Cerence Inc. is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead an integrated compliance program across quality, HSE, security, privacy, and regulatory domains.

You will define policies, controls, and evidence frameworks, coordinate audits, and drive remediation actions while aligning with OEM requirements and regional regulations. You will partner with Legal, Security, Product, Engineering, and Finance to manage enterprise risk.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compliance, risk, quality, security, or regulatory roles within software or automotive industries.
• Strong understanding of ISO-based management systems and audit operations.
• Experience interfacing with internal and external auditors and regulators.
• Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into operational controls.
• Proven stakeholder management across Legal, Engineering, Product, Security, Finance, and Operations.
• Systems thinker who understands how compliance, engineering, security, and finance interlock.
• Pragmatic and risk-based, not checkbox-driven.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate a single, integrated compliance management system spanning multiple domains.
• Define and maintain enterprise compliance policies, standards, controls, and evidence frameworks.
• Lead internal/external audits and drive corrective actions and strategic solutions.
• Ensure compliance supports OEM contractual and product approval requirements.
• Partner with Security, Product, and Engineering to meet key security and automotive cybersecurity frameworks.
• Monitor regulatory change and translate requirements into actionable controls.
