POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Regional Category Manager to join our Supply Chain team. The Regional Category Manager is responsible for developing strategies and ensuring implementation of electromechanical, wire harness and PCB categories. This position is responsible for managing suppliers and sourcing for regional category.

This will be a hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN, Reamstown, PA, or Montreal, Canada

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Understands the specific category, its cost structure and supplier landscape
• Develops and executes strategy
• Defines KPIs to track the strategy realization and reviews compliance
• Prepares, facilitates and summarizes savings initiatives generated through workshops
• Steers and executes category initiatives portfolio

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Bachelors’ degree in business, supply management or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in procurement / supply chain management
• Technical comprehension of products and components as well as lean manufacturing and supply chain management
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
• Willing to travel 15-25% of the time as needed

WHAT WE PREFER

• MBA preferred
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified in Production and Inventory Control (CPIM) or equivalent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French. English required for communications with teams or suppliers outside Quebec.
